Dr. Hjh. Rusmini Binti Ku Ahmad
Rector, Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia

Dr. Rusmini Ku Ahmad is the Rector of Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia, Ministry of Education Malaysia. Prior to this post, she has also held leadership positions as the Deputy Rector and Director of the Research, Development and Innovation Centre of the Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia. Her vast experience in the field of education spans over three decades. She began her career as a teacher and later joined the Institut Aminuddin Baki Northern Branch as a lecturer and became the head of department before  moving on to the Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia. Dr. Rusmini’s field of expertise is educational management and she has presented papers in many national and international conferences and published articles and books such as Best Practices of Excellent Educational Systems: A Way Forward in 2017. She has won the Excellent Service Award twice and is a certified Master Trainer and Coach.

Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi
Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia

Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi is currently the Provost and CEO at Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia. His research interests include thermofluids, renewable energy, biomechanical engineering, engineering education and academic leadership. Professor Al-Atabi published three books, “Shoot the Boss,” “Think Like an Engineer” and “Driving Performance” and he has numerous research publications, awards and honours. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) and a member of the Global Engineering Deans Council. Professor Al-Atabi pioneered the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) educational framework and delivered the first MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) in Malaysia. He trains executives from multinational corporations including banks and energy companies. He is also a much sought-after speaker at international conferences and has appeared on TEDx Talks. His presentations include Story telling and engineering a lasting change, Emotional and social intelligence, Engineering and the language of success and Global entrepreneur mindset.

Janelle McGann
MacTighe & Associates, Australia

Janelle McGann is a global educator with over twenty-five years’ experience in both public and private schools in Australia, Ireland and the US. She is a certified trainer for Understanding by Design with Jay McTighe, a qualified agency trainer for Cognitive Coaching with Thinking Collaborative and the Lead Training Associate for Teachers as Architects of Learning. Janelle facilitates workshops and institutes with teachers, leaders and brings a wealth of experience from working at the middle school, senior school and tertiary level. She has led organisational change including the strategic leadership of teaching and learning, building capacity, stirring innovation and fostering engagement in the organisation she led. Janelle’s work with schools focuses on supporting teachers in their work as curriculum designers and instructional leaders; designing more effective curriculum and pedagogy to meet the needs of students today and into the future. Her expertise includes using technology in the designing and mapping of curriculum.

Associate Professor Jonathan Newton
Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealands

Dr. Jonathan Newton is an Associate Professor and Programme Director for the MA in TESOL at the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies (LALS), Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He has worked as a language teacher and teacher educator for more than 30 years, with wide experience of engaging with teachers from across Asia. He is in demand internationally as a conference speaker and has published more than 60 book chapters and articles on teaching English as a second/foreign language. His scholarship spans task-based language teaching (TBLT), teaching listening and speaking, teaching vocabulary and teaching for intercultural competence. He has co-authored three books: Teaching ESL/EFL Listening and Speaking (2009) (with a second edition due for publication in 2020), Workplace Talk in Action: An ESOL Resource (2010), and Teaching English to Second Language Learners in Academic Contexts (2018) and has a further three books due for publication in 2020.

Dr. Sazali Yusoff
Malaysian Society for Educational Administration and Management (MSEAM)

Dr. Sazali Yusoff is a freelance researcher, trainer and the Secretary-General of the Malaysian Society for Educational Administration and Management (MSEAM). He is also the former Director of the Institute of Teacher Education Tuanku Bainun Campus in Penang and the founding chair of the first International Conference on the Future of Education (IConFEd) in 2018. Prior to this, he was the Head of the Center of Research, Evaluation and ICT in Education at Institut Aminuddin Baki (National Institute of Educational Management and Leadership), Ministry of Education Malaysia. He was on the panel for designing, implementing and conducting specialized courses for Omani educational leaders and UNESCO programme for G15 countries. Dr. Sazali has presented various research papers on school leadership and management, both locally and internationally.
